क्यों मारा गया अमर सिंह चमकीला को ? (फ़िल्म समीक्षा – अमर सिंह चमकीला)

अगर आप  मेरे  अफ़सानों को बर्दाश्त नहीं कर सकते तो इसका मतलब ये समाज ही नाकाबिल ए बर्दाश्त है – “मंटो “

सआदत हसन मंटो का ये मशहूर कथन तो आपने सुना ही होगा जो उन्होंने अदालत में उस वक़्त कहा था जब उनके अफ़सानों पर अश्लीलता फैलाने का आरोप लगा था ।  मंटों पर  पर ये आरोप  बेबुनियाद नहीं थे , निश्चित रूप से उनके साहित्य में ऐसी सच्चाई थी जिसे हमारा समाज खुले रूप से स्वीकार नहीं करता लेकिन चोरी छिपे वो सब होता था जो वो लिखते थे ।

 अब ज़िम्मेदारी पाठकों पर आ जाती है कि वो पर्दे के पीछे की बातों मुख्य धारा के साहित्य में  स्वीकार करते है या नहीं ? 

यही बात साहित्य के साथ – साथ सिनेमा और हर क्षेत्र में लागू होती है । मंटों से पहले और बाद में ऐसे कई उदाहरण है जो समाज में फैली अव्यवस्था (गन्दगी) को किसी ना किसी तरह उजागर करते रहे है लेकिन शोहरत कुछ ही लेखकों और कलाकारों के हिस्से आई है । 

अब आते है अपने आज विषय पर । 80 के दशक में मंटो जैसा ही एक कलाकार आया था जिसे दुनिया “चमकीला”  के नाम से जानती थी लेकिन  उस दौर के बाद,  आधुनिक जमाने के ज़्यादातर लोग चमकीला से वाक़िफ़ नहीं थे ।  मशहूर फ़िल्म निर्देशक  इम्तियाज़ अली की वजह से चमकीला की चमक 21 वीं सदी में फिर से सर चढ़कर बोल रही है ।

ब्लॉग पढ़ने से पहले आपको ये भ्रम दूर कर लेना चाहिए कि यहाँ चमकीला की  मंटो से कोई तुलना नहीं की जा रही है । यहाँ केवल चमकीला का पूर्ण विश्लेषण करने के लिए मंटो का जिक्र किया जा रहा है ताकि दोनों का काम  और विवाद लोगो के ज़हन में स्पष्ट हो सके ।

 80 के दशक में समाज में ,  समाज से इस तरह के  गैर मान्यता प्राप्त गीत गाने वाले अमर सिंह उर्फ़ चमकीला रातों रात स्टार बन गए थे क्योंकि उन्होंने जो देखा उसे सार्वजनिक कर ख़ुद की बुलंदी में चार चाँद लगाये । चमकीला  का मानना था कि , मैं तो वही ही गा रहा हूँ जो लोग सुनना चाहते है और जो पर्दे के पीछे की सच्चाई है उसे ही  लोगो को सुना रहा हूँ । ‘

लेकिन उस गंदी सच्चाई को सुनाकर लोगो का इस तरह से एंटरटेन करना किसी भी सभ्य समाज में बिलकुल स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता है  क्योंकि यहाँ सच्चाई दिखाने से समाज में सुधार की बिलकुल भी  गुंजाइश नहीं है , हाँ इससे समाज में बिगाड़ की पूरी संभावना है क्योंकि जो सुनाया जा रहा है वो सुधार के लिए ना होकर मनोरंजन के लिए है । और इस तरह का मनोरंजन अश्लीलता की श्रेणी में आता है जो अच्छे समाज में खुले रूप से कभी स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता ।

चमकीला ने जो लिखा और  गाया , समाज के एक हिस्से ने उसे तेज गति से स्टार तो बना दिया था लेकिन समाज के दूसरे हिस्से ने उतनी ही तेज गति ने उसकी साँसे भी छीन ली और चमकीला भी एक इतिहास बन कर रह गया । 

21 जुलाई  1960 को पंजाब में जन्मे चमकीला का जादू, 80 के दशक में पूरे भारत ही नहीं विश्व के अनेक देशों में चला । उस दौर में उन्होंने जो लिखा ,गाया और रिकॉर्ड होकर दर्शकों के सामने आया और ऐसा आया कि उसके दौर में उसके सामने दूर दूर तक कोई प्रतिद्वंदी नहीं था जिसके लिये चमकीला को “पंजाब का एल्विश”  भी कहा जाता था । चमकीला का  उस दौर का संगीत कलेक्शन आज एक बार फिर लोगों के सामने है । 

8 मार्च 1988 को पंजाब के ही मेहसामपूर में मात्र 27 वर्ष की आयु में, भरी सभा में चमकीला और उनकी दूसरी पत्नी अमरजोत को गोलियों से भून दिया गया ।

  चमकीला को  क्यों मारा गया ! ये बात उस समय तो जगज़ाहिर थी  लेकिन वक्त के साथ उसकी मौत भी रहस्य बनाकर रह गई थी और उसकी फाइल भी कब की बंद हो चुकी थी ।  सन् 2024 में चमकीला पर बनी फ़िल्म के कारण  एक बार  फिर से सबको पता चल गया की चमकीला को क्यों मारा गया ! 

   लेकिन चमकीला को किसने मारा और उन पर क्या  कारवाई हुई!  ये आज तक एक अनसुलझी  पहेली है । चमकीला ने क्या किया ,कैसे नाम कमाया इसका फ़ैसला उनके दर्शक करेंगे लेकिन एक स्वतंत्र देश का स्वतंत्र नागरिक होने के नाते चमकीला के साथ हुई नाइंसाफ़ी को बिलकुल भी सही नहीं ठहराया जा सकता है । समाज में फैली गंदगी को सार्वजनिक रूप से परोसने का काम  शुरू से ही आम रहा है और आज के दौर में तो अश्लीलता की सारी हदें पार हो चुकी है लेकिन क्या उनके साथ भी  चमकीला जैसा ही सुलूक हो रहा है या होगा? 

बिलकुल नहीं , ऐसा बिलकुल नहीं होगा क्योंकि हमारे समाज में हमेशा उन्हीं को दबाया और कुचला गया है जो  कमजोर होते है । फ़िल्म से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार चमकीला एक दलित सिख समाज से आता था इसलिए उसे हर वक्त दबाकर रखने की कोशिश की गई लेकिन चमकीला नहीं रुका और लगातार उसी काम को करता गया जिसके लिये उसे टोका गया था , हालाँकि चमकीला ने धार्मिक गीत भी गाये थे जो  काफ़ी मशहूर हुए ।

“नाम जप ले…ननकाना साहब जैसे कई प्रसिद्ध गीत गाये लेकिन दर्शकों के एक वर्ग ने उन्हें ओरिजिनल चमकीला बनाने का दबाव बनाया और चमकीला वो भी करता गया जिसके ना करने की धमकियाँ उसको मिलती रही थी । चमकीला ने जो मन में आया किया और उसका बराबर से साथ दिया उनकी दूसरी पत्नी अमरजोत ने । जो हुआ ,जो गाया , जो नाम मिला दोनों को सयुंक्त रूप से मिला और दोनों का अंजाम भी एक जैसा और एक ही समय में  हुआ । 

नेटफ़्लिक्स पर अप्रैल में रिलीज़ हुई अमर सिंह चमकीला आजकल काफ़ी सुर्ख़ियों में है जिसमें दिलजीत दोसांज ने चमकीला और परिणीत चोपड़ा ने अमरजोत का शानदार अभिनय किया है। फ़िल्म में ना चमकीला का महिमामंडन किया गया है और ना ही वनसाइड स्टोरी दिखाई गई है बल्कि जो था उसे हुबहू वैसे हि दिखाया गया है । निर्देशक ने चमकीला की वास्तविक स्टोरी दिखाते हुए  दर्शकों पर छोड़ा है कि उस पर अपनी अपनी राय रखे।

अगर आप चमकीला की बायोपिक देखना चाहते है तो फ़ैमिली के  साथ भी देख सकते  है बशर्ते आपको पंजाबी नहीं आती हो , क्योंकि फ़िल्म में सिवाय गानो के बोल के कोई अश्लीलता नहीं है और  गाने ठेठ पंजाबी भाषा में है जो ग़ैर पंजाबी लोगो के लिये कोई परेशानी वाली बात नहीं है ।  पंजाबी भाषा के गाने सुनने में काफ़ी अच्छे लगते है , इसलिए उन्हें सुनकर चमकीला को डिफाइन करना काफ़ी  मुश्किल होगा इसलिए आपको चमकीला को पूरी तरह समझना है तो फ़िल्म को हिन्दी – इंगलिश या जो भाषा आप जानते है उस सबटाइटल के साथ देखे । “चमकीला”  देख ली हो तो उसके बारें में अपनी राय भी कमेंट में लिखे ।
